Chinese New Year/Spring Festival:中国新年zhōng guó xīn nián/春节chūn jié

New Year's Eve Monster:年兽nián shòu

On the Chinese Lunar calendar it is always on January 1st but on our calendar it depends. This year it is on January 31st.

Dinner Feast:年夜饭nián yè fàn

Firecrackers:鞭炮biān pào

Dumplings:饺子jiǎo zi

Winter:冬天dōng tiān

Olympics:奥林匹克ào lín pǐ kè

Winter Olympics:冬季奥林匹克dōng jì ào lín pǐ kè

Curling:冰壶bīng hú(literally: ice kettle)

Figure Skating:花样滑冰huā yàng huá bīng

Snowboarding:单板滑雪dān bǎn huá xuě🏂

Luge:平底雪橇píng dǐ xuě qiāo

Downhill Skiing:滑降huá jiàng

Cross Country Skiing:越野滑雪yuè yě huá xuě
